About Kart Sport Canterbury

Kartsport Canterbury provides the facilities for an exhilarating karting experience for people of all ages and interest levels.
Whether you are 6 or 60 years old karting can be a sport the whole family can enjoy.

Testing times:
Wednesday – 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Saturday – 09:00am to 5:00pm

Sunday – 09:00am to 5:00pm

Use of the track outside these times is forbidden. Track closed 25th April and 25th December.

Becoming a Kartsport Canterbury member and getting your Kartsport Licence grants you access to our track and facilities on our listed practice days and the appropriate documents to enter our club meetings.
Once you begin improving, the opportunity to travel around the country to other Kartsport tracks arises.

Club History

When Art Ingles built the first "go kart" in 1956 and roared around the car park of a supermarket next to his speed shop in America,
little did he know that 40 years later if you had not raced karts the chances of getting into or being competitive
in any open wheel sport or even tin top racing were going to be pretty slim.
